Added about a cup of bonemeal to each pot. Then sprayed earthboxes with deer off to keep the plants away.

The mail order plants are starting to look like they may make it after a rough "hardening" period.

Cardboard

Put a cardboard roof over the mail order Chile's for a week. Seemed to help with the "hardening". The ones left uncovered are in worse shape.

2016 plants and start

Bought all my plants this year. I was too lazy to start from seed. I'm trying chileplants.com because last year I got some bad black leaf rot. Not sure if it came with the plants or I got it locally. The plants arrived in good shape but clearly have not seen the sun and would be best if hardened but I don't have the energy.
